In the framework of the PON “Liberi di scegliere” project, the series of meetings/seminars to analyze the European practices on restorative justice in Northern Ireland, France, Sweden and Spain starts with the involvement of the four speakers who were protagonists of the first edition.
In view of the growing interest in the initiative and the request for further information, the Department for Juvenile and Community Justice and the Psychoanalytic Institute for Social Research, the implementing party, are organizing a second series of meetings to offer another opportunity for discussion on restorative justice issues, through a technical and operational exchange on European experiences.
The meetings are addressed to the operators involved in the “Liberi di scegliere” project, an initiative aimed at promoting social inclusion and the dissemination of legality and, more generally, to all Justice, territorial and private social services.
- 1st meeting: Monday 27th September 2021, from 11:00 a.m. to 13:00 CET.,

Eleonore Lind, over 30 years of experience in mediation and restorative justice and trainer for the Institutet för Medlarutbildning.
- 4th meeting: Friday 10th December 2021, from 11.00 a.m. to 13.00 CET.,
Jose Castilla Jiménez, lawyer expert in civil, criminal and penitentiary law and President of the Andalusa Mediation Association (AMEDI).
“The competences of Victim Offender Mediation and Restorative Justice practitioners: theoretical knowledge and interpersonal communication skills”

Seminar guest Eleonore Lind, with over 30 years’ experience in criminal mediation, restorative justice and practitioner training for the Swedish Institutet för Medlarutbildning.
Eleonore Lind will talk about her experience in designing a VOM training in Sweden and explain which criteria were taken into account and why.
She will address the similarities and differences of being a Victim Offender mediator and a facilitator of other Restorative Justice practices, with a specific focus on interpersonal communication theories and skills.
The seminars in streaming will be held on the Video Conferencing ZOOM platform.
